Loose item bins have become more and more complicated in recent years. For Leviathan they revert to this refreshingly simple concept: two sets of compartments that feature a sliding lid to cover one train's riders while the other unloads and loads.

The refreshed plaza features a fairly inoffensive and Sea World appropriate wharf theme.

The Timberliners are every bit as modern, complex and lightweight as any steel roller coaster train. The way they will navigate the track is worlds ahead of older wooden roller coasters, which will help keep the ride comfortable for years to come.

Right from the get-go Creatures of the Deep lets you know that fantasy and myth are at play here.

Thunder Lake Stunt Show
Sea World
During the ski shows, Creatures of the Deep is shut to the public. This is because of the low barriers on the lakeside pathways. What's strange is that they don't clearly signpost that the attraction will close periodically throughout the day, leaving guests to be interrupted and told to leave midway through their journey.

The entrance area is definitely in need of a makeover but the latest aggressive changes to the forced souvenir photo taking and viewing area is a puzzling sales technique for a business that relies on the repeat visits of passholders.

Thunder Lake Stunt Show is like a fleshed out version of the Jet Stunt Extreme show that preceded it, with a bit more of a fleshed out storyline, with some cheesy dialogue. In short, imagine a show down between a local gang and a local stunt team, outdoing each other with various stunts.

A handful of nights in January just isn't enough. A park this beautiful and close to Surfers Paradise should open its doors for more night events throughout the year.

It's located in the back corner of the park where the water park was once located.

Hopefully we'll see some work on this site soon.....If it were more of a construction site, guests would perhaps be less dissapointed at a very visible attraction being there, but unridable.
